Caddyshack is centered around Bushwood Country Club and a comical hodgepodge of characters with clashing personalities and ambitions.  Judge Smails (Ted Knight) does everything in his power to maintain the integrity and sanctity of country club life, but his patience his challenged on and off the course by the vulgar and obnoxious Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield), and the smug and confident Ty Webb (Chevy Chase).  All the while, a maniacal assistant greenskeeper, Carl Spackler (Bill Murray), wreaks havoc on the golf course in his quixotic quest to decimate a pesky gopher burrowing his way through the far-from-pristine Bushwood links.  In the end, it's a winner-take-all match between good and evil (Smails vs. Czervik/Webb, Spackler vs. gopher), and the golfing gods have a say in the final outcome.

Buying the Caddyshack DVD will not help your man's golf game, but it is a treasured gem in the annals of sports movies. The laughs are non-stop, and the famous quotes from this movie are heard on and off the course today, a good two decades-plus after its release. This stocking stuffer (or birthday or Father's Day gift) will score big on his scorecard, and it will be the quickest round of golf you can give him.
