To obtain tickets for college
basketball's premier event, first try your luck with the
NCAA (www.ncaasports.com). Fill out an application
and then hope: the NCAA conducts a random, computerized
drawing each summer to determine ticket winners for the
following spring. In absence of being a lucky winner of
the option to purchase tickets, work with a reputable
ticket broker to isolate tickets. Tickets are a
hot commodity - the 2007 Final Four for both the men's
and women's tournaments are already sold out - so while
you should be sure to shop around for the best prices,
lock in tickets whenever you find a price that fits your
wallet. As with an event like the
Super Bowl, you may
want to minimize your costs by picking a Final Four
destination that's within driving distance of your home
so you could perhaps save on airfare. As for
hotels, search early, since destinations are set far in
advance and people start making their travel plans
early. Final Four destination sites are set until 2011.
Atlanta is the site for the 2007 men's tournament,
followed by San Antonio (2008), Detroit
(2009), Indianapolis (2010), and Houston (2011).
The NCAA Final Four is an exciting
sports event, with three fabulous matchups pitting
college basketball's finest teams (and sometimes an
occasional upstart) against one another. Add a little
variety to his passion for NCAA hoops; while his bracket
may be dead by the time the Sweet 16 rolls around, give
him high hopes for a fabulous Final Four by securing his
place at the NCAA's showcase event for college
basketball. It will be a slam dunk gift! |
